Men’s Dean

Lead morning staff meetings. This includes leading staff devotions, and having the speakers, the program director, the camp coordinator, and the recreation director report on their upcoming day's ministry.
See that all meetings and activities are started on time, and those leading the various activities are present.
Bring the flag out each morning for the flag raising and see that it is taken down each night.
Lead the pledge to the flag and select before hand cabin leaders to lead the devotion time immediately following the flag raising. The Men's Dean should plan on leading the first one of the week. The devotional should be limited to 2-5 minutes and Include thanks for breakfast.

Lead or appoint someone to lead prayer for mid-day and evening meals when campers are assembled at the entrance to the dining hall. It is the Men's Dean's responsibility to ensure that campers are lined up for each meal and allowed in in orderly fashion. He is also responsible for dismissing campers one table at a time at the meal's conclusion.
Make announcements at meals. Give Snooper Report. Hold (or delegate) lunchtime mail call (Mail call should be reasonably brief).
Provide support to the cabin leaders in the area of camper counseling problems. If necessary, contact the Camp Director for assistance.
See that camp guidelines are followed. Tour the camp after lights out to ensure that campers are quiet.
Sound horn for morning, afternoon, and evening activities

Be available to help where needed
Handle discipline problems
Check that all leaders and campers are at all meetings and activities
Be around during activities; interact with campers
Make sure that supervision during swim times is in accordance with Pool Guidelines (see Pool Guidelines in Camp Operations Manual)
Dismiss campers after meeting times
Report serious difficulties to Camp Director
Work with Women's Dean to help with problems with girl campers
Communicate with staff about all necessary items
